TERREBONNE PARISH- Louisiana State Troopers were on the scene of a crash that left one man dead Sunday night.

The deadly three-vehicle crash occurred on LA 311 near Bull Run Road shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Authorities said 49-year-old Troy Leblanc was traveling north on LA 311 in a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Another driver, 76-year-old Philip Aucoin Jr., was traveling south on LA 311 in a 2005 Chevrolet Impala.

For unknown reasons, Leblanc crossed the center line and struck Aucoin's vehicle head-on. A 2003 Ford Explore, driven by 40-year-old TJ Small, was following behind Aucoin and struck debris in the road after the first impact.

Authorities said despite being restrained, Aucoin suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Leblanc's passenger, 68-year-old Laura Hue, suffered minor to moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Both Leblanc and Hue were properly restrained at the time of the crash.

Small was not injured in the crash and was properly restrained.

Alcohol and/or drug use is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, but authorities say the incident is still under investigation.
