Quinn does it all leading Southern over Alabama State 64-6
BATON ROUGE - Willie Quinn accounted for 320 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns as Southern trounced Alabama State 64-6 on Saturday night.
Southern led 34-0 at the break.
In the first half alone, Quinn had three receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns, returned two punts for 72 yards, had a kickoff return for 22 yards, threw a 30-yard touchdown pass and carried the ball once for 18 yards.
Quinn added a 78-yard touchdown reception in the second half.
David Whitlow put the Hornets on the board with an 8-yard touchdown run with 41 seconds to play.
Austin Howard was 14 for 27 with 304 yards passing and three touchdowns for Southern (1-2, 1-0 Southwestern Athletic).
Quinterris Toppings was 24 for 41 for 248 yards and had three interceptions for Alabama State (0-3, 0-2).
