Multiple Ascension Parish roadways closed due to high water

ASCENSION PARISH - Some roadways are shut down in Ascension Parish due to heavy rainfall Wednesday evening.

According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, the following paths are closed due to high water levels as of 7:45 p.m.:

Westlake Drive

Highway 621 at Della Marchand

Highway 1 South underpass

Evangeline Drive

The sheriff's office hasn't said when it expects these roadways to reopen.
