CLARKSDALE, Miss. - Authorities in northwest Mississippi say an officer was shot while investigating a robbery.

Mayor Bill Luckett says Officer Derrick Couch was found on the street outside a convenience store that had been robbed late Saturday by two masked men. The report said the officer was hospitalized after being shot in the head.

Police have released a video of two possible suspects, including one with a noticeable limp.

Luckett says one of the masked men was carrying a gun as the two went into the store's front door. He says the two clerks ran out the back door, and the men stole money from the cash register and left.
