Miles: Fournette out of walking boot, will practice on Thursday
BATON ROUGE - LSU Coach Les Miles has confirmed via Twitter that running back Leonard Fournette is out of his walking boot and was “running today” after he was briefly sidelined during fall camp with an ankle sprain.
Confirming what he mentioned after Tuesday’s final fall scrimmage, Miles suggested he believes Fournette will be practicing with the team when they return to the field on Thursday. He was notably absent from that scrimmage. The Tigers have Wednesday off before returning to game week mode later this week.

After the injury happened during fall camp, Miles immediately described it as “not serious,” but he could not pin down an estimated return date at that time. Fournette had two carries for 20 yards in a scrimmage before his injury.
