BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Ben Simmons scored 43 points and LSU rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat North Florida 119-108 on Wednesday night.

The 43 points were the most for a Tigers player since Shaquille O'Neal had 43 against Northern Arizona on Dec. 28, 2001. Simmons, who also had 14 rebounds and seven assists, was 15 of 20 from the field and 13 of 15 from the foul line.

Four other LSU starters also scored in double figures. Both Tim Quarterman and Josh Gray had 20 points, while Aaron Epps had a career-high 14 points and Jalyn Patterson had 11. The Tigers (4-3), who ended a three-game losing streak, shot 64 percent from the field (45 of 70).

Both Beau Beech and Dallas Moore had 31 points for the Ospreys (6-3). Beech's point total was a career best. Demarcus Daniels and Trent Mackey had 18 points and 13 points, respectively.
