In arrest documents, police report witness tipped them about shooting suspects
BATON ROUGE - A witness helped Baton Rouge Police develop and arrest two of three suspects in a parking lot murder a few days before Christmas.
In newly-released arrest documents, police said Gabrielle Rogers told someone about the role she played in the shooting at the corner of College Drive and Corporate Boulevard. The witness then told authorities what Rogers told them, officers wrote in an affidavit of probable cause for arrest. The information was released when WBRZ requested arrest information from the jail.
Rogers and D'Mon Spears were arrested on Christmas Eve on principal to murder charges connected to the death of George Reusch Jr. on December 21. Not long after their arrest, police identified the shooter as Glenn Spears. The Spears men are brothers, police said.
Police suspect Rogers drove the Spears brothers to meet Reusch at a strip mall parking lot where Glenn Spears shot Reusch. Police have also said the rendezvous was originally planned as a drug deal and a backpack was stolen from the vehicle Reusch was driving.

Investigators said Rogers' 5-year-old son was in the vehicle she used to bring the Spears brothers to the parking lot. So, she was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
As of Christmas evening, police were still searching for Glenn Spears. When caught, he faces first degree murder, armed robbery and illegal use of a weapon charges.
