BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Five finalists have been chosen in the Louisiana Community and Technical College System’s search for a new chancellor for Louisiana Delta Community College.

On Wednesday each finalist will participate in separate online public forums with the northeast Louisiana school’s students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Finalists for the job are Mordecai Ian Brownlee, the Vice President for Student Success at St. Philip’s College; Randy Esters, president of North Arkansas College; Scott Rule, president of West Georgia Technical College; Wendi S. Palermo, executive director of nursing and healthcare initiatives for the Louisiana Community and Technical College System; and Heather Spillers Poole, the executive vice chancellor of student services at Central Louisiana Technical Community College.

The nationwide search began in August, according to a system news release that includes biographical information on each candidate.

“This is a strong group, and they represent the best leaders in Louisiana and the nation,” system chair Paul Price Jr. said in the news release.
