BATON ROUGE - Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office has a suspect in custody in connection with a fatal shooting earlier last month on Bayou Fountain Avenue, off Gardere Lane.

Tyler Batiste was hit by gunfire back on February 9th at his home on the 8400 block of Bayou Fountain Ave. He was taken to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

According to witnesses, Batiste heard a knock on his door and was shot upon answering. Three other individuals were at the house at the time of the shooting. All three were unharmed.
