Body found in Mississippi River identified as missing man
DONALDSONVILLE - A body found in the Mississippi River Wednesday evening has been an identified as a Gonzales man who went missing earlier this week.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says the body of Chirstopher Bolona, 35, was found around 5 p.m. in the water near Lemanville Park. The sheriff's office put out a notice earlier that day that Bolona hadn't been seen since Jan. 25.
Deputies said no signs of trauma were found on his body, and foul play is not suspected at this time.
The death remains under investigation.
