Boil water advisory issued for Ponchatoula due to water main break

PONCHATOULA — A boil water advisory was issued for the City of Ponchatoula on Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Wesley Daniels said.
The boil advisory was due to a water main break, which was repaired around 4:30 p.m. However, the boil advisory will remain in place for at least another 24 hours while the city waits for lab test results to come back, the mayor said.
