BATON ROUGE — An arrest warrant was issued for a man who allegedly assaulted a worker in a restroom in the 200 block of St. Louis Street in September, which is located in the area of Baton Rouge City Hall.

On Sept. 16, a male victim told authorities that he was assaulted inside a bathroom, according to the arrest warrant.

The victim told authorities that he entered the bathroom where he encountered 67-year-old Alfred Richardson, who allegedly asked for information on housing. The victim later met Richardson in the lobby area, where he was provided information for the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging along with a business card. The victim also gave Richardson $20 for bus fare.

Richardson then allegedly made sexual advances towards the victim before demanding that he go back into the bathroom, according to the warrant. The victim allegedly complied out of fear that Richardson possessed a weapon in his bag.

While inside a bathroom stall, Richardson instructed the victim to perform sexual acts before forcing the victim to give him money as he "provided [him] with a service." Crime Scene detectives later collected DNA evidence from the bathroom.

The victim also told authorities that Richardson called afterwards and left a voicemail on his work phone, which he traced back to Richardson through available law enforcement databases.

WBRZ previously reported that a city-parish employee was sexually assaulted at Baton Rouge's City Hall on Sept. 16. Authorities declined on Friday afternoon to confirm whether the incident is related to Richardson's alleged assault.
