Officials to give away mosquito traps to flood victims
BATON ROUGE – State Senator Regina Barrow is partnering with Councilwoman Tara Wicker to give away equipment to flood victims in assisting them with climbing mosquito outbreaks.
Senator Barrow and Council member Wicker have also teamed up with local ministry groups and Dr. Gadget, who has appeared on The View, HGTV and other shows to promote the DynaTrap insect trap.
The trap assists in dealing with mosquitoes and will be available to eligible flood victims. Recipients must pre-register to get a device. To register for a trap, individuals can call 225-312-1774.
Dr. Gadget, Barrow and Wicker along with Bishop D'Wight and Lady Sandra Pate of Church Point Ministries will be giving away the traps on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The traps will be given away at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church at 10 a.m. and will be distributed until they are gone.
