No injuries after car overturns on I-12 east
BATON ROUGE – First responders say no one was injured after a crash flipped a car on I-12 east Sunday afternoon.
Photos from the scene show a red Toyota Carola with on its side with a smashed windshield. Authorities say the incident happened around 2:20 p.m. at the Essen Lane exit of I-12 east.
DOTD reports that the left and center lanes are blocked at that location and traffic is passing through the right lane. Traffic congestion reached the I-10/12 split by 2:30 p.m.
The crash comes just days after an overturned tanker truck locked down traffic on I-12 for hours as crews worked to drain propane from the truck's tank.
