Mississippi man arrested after shooting in St. Francisville leaves one injured
ST. FRANCISVILLE – West Feliciana Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Mississippi man for attempted murder after a shooting on Hwy. 66 on Sunday.
The shooting took place around 1 a.m. on Sunday at a restaurant on the corner of Hwy. 61 at Hwy. 66. One person was shot twice and taken to an area hospital where police say they are expected to survive. Witnesses of the shooting were able to describe the shooter, 32-year-old Ricky Wells, and the vehicle he left in.
While en route to the scene, deputies passed a vehicle matching the description and a pursuit ensued. West Feliciana deputies and a St. Francisville officer stopped the vehicle and apprehended Wells who was later identified by witnesses. Deputies also recovered drugs and a weapon that was tossed out of the vehicle during the pursuit.

Wells was arrested and booked into the West Feliciana Detention Center on one count of attempted second degree murder. The case is still under investigation.
