Man charged in connection with deadly 2014 shooting on Citadel Drive
BATON ROUGE - Police reported the arrest of a man accused in a deadly shooting and killing that happened on Citadel Drive in December of 2014.
21-year-old Christopher Thornton, who was already in jail for an unrelated incident prior to his arrest, now faces charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
The arrest comes after BRPD detectives were able to collect evidence and gather witness testimony that connected Thornton the murder of 22-year-old Christian Allen on Dec. 18 of 2014 in the 2600 block of Citadel Drive.
Allen was found deceased in a driveway after what police believe was a possible robbery attempt.
