Man arrested in Napoleonville after allegedly fleeing from officer in off-road vehicle
NAPOLEONVILLE — A man was arrested in Napoleonville after allegedly running away from an officer on an off-road vehicle, the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office announced Monday.
Bryce Michael Larousse, 25, was arrested Saturday afternoon after a uniformed officer assigned to the I.C.E. Detail saw four off-road vehicles driving along La. 1010. The drivers all drove through a stop-sign-controlled intersection and, after seeing the officer, sped away.
The deputy tried to stop the drivers, but the four separated. The deputy pursued one vehicle and chased Larousse until he eventually crashed the vehicle.
Larousse was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of disregarding a stop sign, resisting an officer, aggravated flight from an officer, safety helmet required and operating an off-road vehicle upon a public roadway.
