LSU Softball falls 2-0 to Michigan in Game 1 at WCWS
LSU Softball couldn't solve Michigan pitcher Megan Betsa in the circle and was shutout in their first game of the 2016 Women's College World Series, losing to the Wolverines 2-0 on Friday night in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Tera Blanco roped a 2 RBI double to right field in the sixth inning off of LSU pitcher Carley Hoover for the only runs in the game.
LSU will now face Alabama in an elimination game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m., that game will be televised by ESPN.
The Tigers scratched just four hits off of Betsa, only one of them for extra bases. The Michigan pitcher improved to 28-3 on the year with eight strikeouts against LSU.
