LSU rises in latest CFB Playoff rankings
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers have moved up to take the no. 17 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.
The Tigers, who were ranked no. 18 last week, climbed after this weekend's regular-season finale victory over the Texas A&M Aggies.
The Tigers beat the Aggies by a score of 45-21 Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
Another notable shake-up in the rankings affected the Alabama Crimson Tide, which fell out of its no. 1 spot and landed in fifth after a loss to Auburn Saturday. Auburn in turn moved up to take the no. 2 spot.
