Elderly man struck by vehicle on Government Street
BATON ROUGE - A pedestrian was transported by paramedics after he was hit by a vehicle on Government Street Wednesday.
According to BRPD officials, the victim was hit in the 2800 block of Government Street.
Police described the victim as an elderly male. They say he was struck by a vehicle backing out of a parking spot.
It does not appear as though the victim suffered life-threatening injuries following the incident, according to police.
Police say no citations were issued.
