BATON ROUGE- The Traffic Homicide Unit was called out to a serious crash this evening at the corner of Lee Drive and Nicholson.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection around 7pm. The wreck happened during a heavy downpour that left streets looking more like rivers.

WBRZ has learned one of the drivers was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Flooding in the area posed a serious problem with first responders trying to navigate the high water to get to the scene.
