Councilwoman arrested after 'issue' with bus driver
PORT ALLEN – West Baton Rouge Parish Councilmember Charlene Gordon acknowledged Thursday that she was arrested after an incident with a school bus driver.
Sources told the Investigative Unit that Port Allen Police arrested 53-year-old Charlene C. Gordon Wednesday afternoon.
Gordon, before referring WBRZ to her lawyer, confirmed that she was arrested and said she "had an issue with a bus driver with my grandbaby" and now the bus driver is afraid of her.
"The truth will prevail," Gordon said.
She posted bond and was released from jail Wednesday. She said the arrest will not affect her council service.
