Ambulance collides with loose donkeys while responding to emergency call
ROSEDALE – Loose donkeys wreaked havoc in this rural Iberville Parish community overnight.
An ambulance responding to an emergency call hit one of the donkeys as it crossed Rosedale Road. The collision crushed the front of the ambulance, sources said, and the emergency care vehicle had to be towed.
Animal control had to be called to wrangle the donkeys – two others were freely walking the road, according to first responders.
No human injuries were reported. One donkey was killed, sources said.
