CHICAGO - Chicago's police superintendent says the two brothers charged in the shooting death of a woman pushing a stroller are an example of the city's problem with repeat offenders.
Eddie Johnson says both had criminal records and were on parole. Twenty-six-year-old Darwin Sorrells Jr. and 22-year-old Derren Sorrells were charged today with first-first-degree murder in Friday's shooting of Nykea Aldridge, the cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade.
Police say the 32-year-old mother of four was pushing a baby in a stroller near a school when two men walked up and fired shots at a third man but hit Aldridge in the head and arm.
