BATON ROUGE — An LSU law professor removed from his position for political comments he made during a lecture was reinstated.
Ken Levy, who was removed from the classroom in January 2025, said Wednesday that LSU reinstated him three weeks ago.
WBRZ previously reported Levy was teaching a class on Jan. 14, 2025 about police and public interactions when, according to a lawsuit he filed, he said “F**k the governor” and “f**k that" while criticizing Governor Jeff Landry for publicly shaming a law school colleague on social media.
Levy said on social media that the reinstatement was "a good first step on [LSU's] part," but that he would be trying to hold the university accountable for "their misconduct and violation of [his] rights."
LSU confirmed that Levy "has been advised that he will be included in the Spring 2027 teaching schedule."
