The Baton Rouge Police Department is currently accepting applications for the annual Citizens Academy. The eight-week course gives participants a first-hand experience of local law enforcement.
Experiences include police academy training, 911 dispatch, gun range tour, firearm demonstrations and more.
Selected participants will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at BRPD Headquarters, 9000 Airline Highway.
