Woman from Vacherie wins Dream Home
BATON ROUGE- Lorette Oubre from Vacherie won the 2013 St. Jude Dream Home Saturday night.
The giveaway was televised live from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on channel 2.
Oubre was shocked and overjoyed when WBRZ anchors John Pastorek and Sylvia Weatherspoon called her with the news just after the telecast ended.
Money raised helps St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a free hospital for children with diseases.
