LIVINGSTON — The annual Livingston Parish Fair continues into day two at the fairgrounds today.

Gus Mitchell with Mitchell Brothers Amusements spoke with WBRZ about what it takes to make the fair happen.

"I think of the word dedication here. There's a lot of qualified people and trained, a lot of folks involved, a lot of moving pieces and the word dedication, professional people out here doing a job that they just love," said Gus Mitchell.

Mitchell also described the work that happens before the fair opens.

"Well, for us, it's got more to do with the fair association preparing the grounds and preparing the elements for us to be able to arrive and support this type of an event. Livingston Parish Fairgrounds has been here for a number of years," said Mitchell. "They've done a lot of improvements over the years and it's amazing what the grounds they have. A lot of events don't have this, what we have here."
