LSU student dies after skateboarding accident
BATON ROUGE - An LSU student has died after he suffered a serious injury while skateboarding over the weekend.
Gilgamesh “Gil” Homan, 18, fractured the back of his skull when he fell off his board Sunday. His father, Michael Homan, confirmed Gilgamesh died Tuesday night.
He said his son is an organ donor, and the plan is to find recipients for the teen's organs.
“We will be saying goodbye to him later this evening,” Michael Homan said in the post, Tuesday. “He is just 18 years old. It’s perversely senseless.”
An LSU spokesperson confirmed the teen was a student.
