LSP: Albany man dies in Tangipahoa Parish crash on La. Highway 40
INDEPENDENCE — A man died after his vehicle ran off a road and struck a culvert in Tangipahoa Parish, according to Louisiana State Police Troop L.
The crash happened at 5:20 a.m. Sept. 12 on Louisiana Highway 40 at Huck Road. Troopers responded to find a 2018 Kia Soul that had traveled off the right side of the roadway.
The driver, James M. Crawford, 38, of Albany, was the only person in the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
Crawford was taken to a local hospital, where he died. Troopers say the reason the vehicle left the road is still under investigation.
