Storms will become a lot less likely in the coming days. As a result, the added sunshine will allow temperatures to increase.

Tonight & Tomorrow: Storms will fizzle out overnight, leading to mainly clear conditions and lows in the mid-70s. Sunday will start off with a lot of sunshine, quickly sending temperatures into the 90s. Highs will top out near 95° under partly sunny skies. Heat index values will approach 106°. These type of values are quite unusual for this time of year. Pop-up storms will be possible, but many will stay dry given isolated storm coverage.

Up Next: Coverage of showers and thunderstorms will fall off even more by Monday and the rest of next week. Temperatures will surge into the mid-90s, possibly even hotter in some locations. Heat index values will approach 108°, meaning a return of heat alerts are possible. These will not last for long, as there are early signs of a few weak fronts late week into next weekend.
