Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership marks the final year of its BRING IT! plan

BATON ROUGE — The Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership spotlighted its final year of its five-year strategic regional plan BRING IT! at its annual meeting on Wednesday. 

BRING IT!, launched in 2022 with the goal of enhancing the communities in and around Baton Rouge. The Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership, formerly the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, serves as the regional economic development organization for Louisiana’s nine-parish Capital Region. 

The meeting, presented by Kean Miller, was held at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and attendees heard from Partnership board chairs as well as other prominent speakers. 

Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan Bourgeois and The Partnership Acting Co-CEO Jayson Newell spoke about the projects, industries, and advantages driving the state and region's economic future. 

LSU President Wade Rousse, Southern University Chancellor and Interim President Orlando McMeans, and The Partnership Acting Co-CEO Trey Godfrey spoke about how higher education partnerships are strengthening innovation amid billions in new project investments.
