Virtual apprenticeship expo invites students to learn about employers, training providers
BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance is hosting its annual virtual Registered Apprenticeship Expo at the start of November.
The Nov. 4 event, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Zoom, will provide Louisiana high school and two-year postsecondary school students with information about registered apprenticeships, available apprenticeships in the state and directly connect them with employers and training providers.
"Planting the seeds of opportunity through apprenticeship programs can harvest a stronger, more skilled workforce that benefits employers, workers, and the state's economy," Tonya Evans, LOSFA's Employee Engagement Coordinator, said in a statement.
