East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office heading to Texas to assist flood victims
BATON ROUGE- A convoy of deputies from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is headed to Port Arthur Texas this morning to assist with flood recovery.
The deputies will be meeting at a staging area in Texas where other law enforcement agencies and first responders are based. Every morning and evening there will be a safety briefing before deputies are dispatched to assist residents.

Bathroom trailers, generators and lights are being brought. Deputies will stay in Texas for two to three days, then reassess the situation to determine if they are still needed in the area.
