BATON ROUGE — A man died following a shooting along North Ardenwood Drive over the weekend.

Baton Rouge Police were called to the scene of the shooting around 11:48 p.m. on Sunday.

According to BRPD officials, 40-year-old Juarz Corbitt Sr. was taken to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds following the Sunday night shooting; he later died. 

Police added that another victim was taken to the hospital after being found in front of a home on North Donmoor Avenue, only a few blocks away from the scene of the shooting. This person is expected to survive, police noted.

This is an ongoing investigation, police said.
