BREC approves additional $40k to contract with firm creating City Park master plan
BATON ROUGE - BREC voted to pay an additional $40,000 to the firm tasked with creating the master plan for City-Brooks Park.
During a Thursday meeting, the BREC Commission voted to amend the contract with Sasaki Associates to pay an additional $40,045 for the City-Brooks Community Park Master Plan and Lakes Vision.
BREC hired design consultant Sasaki Associates to develop proposals for how the park could look in the coming decades.

Two commissioners, Lon Vicknair and Zachary Mayor David McDavid, voted no to amending the contract. The next public meeting about the City-Brooks Park plan is scheduled for Sept. 17.
