CENTRAL — A two-car crash along Hooper Road at Shady Bluff Drive left three people hospitalized. 

According to Central Fire officials, the crash, which happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday, also resulted in a small fire under the hood of one of the vehicles. 

The crash briefly closed the roadway, Central Fire noted.

Baton Rouge EMS and Acadian Ambulance took three people to nearby hospitals.
