BATON ROUGE - Detectives say they've identified one of two suspects believed to be behind the Sunday morning armed robbery of a Highland Road convenience store.

Baton Rouge Police said the crime happened at the Circle K in the 5300 block of Highland Road at its intersection with Lee Drive. The robbery happened at around 11 a.m. Sunday.

Police said the male suspect approached the front counter while posing as a customer with merchandise. When it was his turn, he reportedly showed the cashier a gun in his waistband and demanded merchandise, according to police. After he obtained an undisclosed amount of merchandise, the suspect fled on foot.

No injuries were reported in connection with the armed robbery.

Police reported the male suspect was identified as 44-year-old Keith Williams. He is believed to possibly be behind other robberies in the Baton Rouge area. The second suspect, a woman pictured above, is still wanted by police.

Anyone who is able to identify the suspects is urged to contact the BRPD Armed Robbery Division at 225-389-3845.
