WOODVILLE, Miss. — Two people died in a crash in Wilkinson County, Mississippi, last week, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said. 

According to MHP, the crash happened on Aug. 19 along Highway 61. 

A Baton Rouge man was driving north in a truck when he collided with another car that was trying to turn left, officials added. 

George Walker Jr., 68, and Brenda Walker, 65, were in the car that was attempting the turn. The Walkers, from Woodville, were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the truck was hospitalized. 

State troopers in Mississippi are investigating the crash.
