EBRSO: Foul play not suspect after man's body is pulled from pond along Wax Road

CENTRAL — A man's body was pulled from a pond along Wax Road in East Baton Rouge Parish, Central Police told WBRZ on Tuesday morning.
The body was found floating in a pond along Wax Road near the Northwoods subdivision, Central Chief Roger Corcoran said.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office is the primary agency working the case after the body was found, but Central Police and other agencies are also assisting the investigation.
The coroner will perform an autopsy to determine the man's exact cause of death, but deputies say "there is no reason to suspect any sort of foul play."
Wax Road was closed in the area around 8 a.m. as crews worked the scene.
