Ascension Community Theatre: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
BATON ROUGE- A production of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is coming to the Ascension Community Theatre. This morning, the show's stage director and some of the cast members stopped by 2une In to tell News 2's John Pastorek more about the upcoming performance.
Dane Thibodeaux plays the role of Jekyll/Hyde. He says it's an extremely tough character to play because of the multiple personalities and feelings he has to portray.
"It's incredibly difficult to have to perfect two completely different personalities inside one body," said Thibodeaux. "It's one of the most difficult things I've had to overcome."
Jessica Watson, who plays Emma Carew, says he character is one of the only people that can actually calm Dr. Jekyll down. Watson joked with John Pastorek about many people being able to relate to dating significant others with split personalities.
The show comes to the Ascension Community Theatre from June 18th to June 23rd, and then comes back June 25th through June 28th. Tickets range from $15 to $30. For more information about the production check out the video and visit the ACT's website.
