Annual Way of the Cross held in downtown Baton Rouge on Good Friday

BATON ROUGE — The Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, along with the St. Joseph Cathedral, held the annual Way of the Cross in Downtown Baton Rouge on Good Friday.
The Way of the Cross is a symbolic pilgrimage that highlights Jesus' suffering before his death, offering the community an opportunity to unite, pray and reflect on social injustices in the world today.
Community advocates, church leaders and representatives from local nonprofits joined the procession, which began at the St. Joseph Cathedral. Participants traveled a 14-station route around the State Capitol grounds before returning to the steps of the cathedral.
