ST. AMANT - The St. Amant Gators hosted the Zachary Broncos for a non-district matchup in week five.

The Broncos got things started when Jacori Platt connected with Ethan Kimmie for an opening-drive touchdown.

The Gators responded two drives later. Platt scrambled out of the pocket and fumbled the ball. St. Amant's Jeremy Whatley came up with the recovery. The Gators tied the game when Brock Koontz connected with Kayden Thodile in the endzone.

Zachary and St. Amant would go back and forth through much of the first half, with the Broncos leading 28-21 at the half.

The Zachary offense really turned things up a notch in the final two quarters, outscoring the Gators 28-7.
