ZACHARY — Zachary Mardi Gras will return for its second annual parade in 2027.

According to a news release, the parade is set for Sunday, Feb. 7, 2027. Our Beloved Community United will present the event with the City of Zachary and the Zachary Police Department.

The release said the parade will build on Zachary Mardi Gras' 2026 debut. It also said the event will focus on music, culture and community.

"When we launched Zachary Mardi Gras, our vision was to create something special that would bring our community together and establish a tradition families could enjoy for generations," Jamar Hebert said.

"The overwhelming support and excitement we received during our inaugural celebration exceeded our expectations. As we prepare for 2027, we're building on that success and looking forward to bringing our community together for an even bigger and better celebration," Hebert said.

The release said community organizations, businesses, schools, marching bands and other groups can join the parade. Vendors, volunteers and corporate sponsors can also take part.

Zachary Mardi Gras will use the 2027 theme Let the Good Times Roll: One City. Many Sounds. One Rhythm. The release said the event aims to create more chances for community involvement and local business participation.
