Venezuelan man sentenced to 10 years in prison after he tried to solicit sex from agent posing as teen
BATON ROUGE — A Venezuelan man who pleaded guilty to the attempted coercion and enticement of a minor into sexual activity has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by a federal judge.
Kleider Enrique Garcia Ochoa, 31, also faces deportation from the United States upon completion of his sentence.
The U.S. Attorney's office said Ochoa used social media apps and attempted to convince a 15-year-old boy in Denham Springs to have an illegal sexual relationship with him, then traveled to Denham Springs in an attempt to meet the child. An undercover officer had posed as the teenager.
