Prosecutors say Venezuelan man tried to solicit sex from undercover agent posing as a teenager
BATON ROUGE — Federal prosecutors said Wednesday that a Venezuelan man has pleaded guilty to the attempted "coercion and enticement" of a purported minor into sexual activity.
Kleider Enrique Garcia Ochoa, age 30, faces a prison term ranging from 10 years to life, and is subject to deportation at the end of his sentence, the prosecutors said.
The U.S. Attorney's office said Ochoa used social media apps and attempted to convince a 15-year-old boy in Denham Springs to have an illegal sexual relationship with him, then traveled to Denham Springs in an attempt to meet the child. An undercover officer had posed as the teenager.

Ochoa also faces a fine of up to $250,000 and up to a lifetime of supervised relief. He also must register as a sex offender.
