TANGIPAHOA — The Tangipahoa Parish School System announced a "Pink Shirt and Jean Day" to raise money for Mary Bird Perkins and St. Jude Research Hospital, according to the academic organization.

The "Jean Day" will be held on Monday, Oct. 5; students and employees can participate with a $1 donation and are also welcome to wear a pink shirt. 

The school system reminded students that jeans and shirts cannot have holes, rips or inappropriate words or graphics.
