DENHAM SPRINGS — Residents in Denham Springs shut down Mattie Street for the Denham Springs Main Street Chili Cook-off on Saturday.

Participants enjoyed chili, live music, local vendors and a special Touch-A-Truck event with the Denham Springs Fire Department and the American Red Cross.

Denham Springs Main Street works to maintain and preserve Denham Springs' historic downtown area, which functions as a residential and business district.
