PRAIRIEVILLE — A "pilgrim relic" of Pope St. John Paul II will be coming to Prairieville on Sept. 15. 

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will hold the relic for viewing at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., with a 6 p.m Mass in between. The 3:30 p.m. viewing is reserved for elderly people and people who cannot drive at night. 

The relic contains the liquefied blood of the saint and is one of only four relics in existence and the only one designated as a pilgrim relic, according to the church.
