NEW ROADS — The Pointe Coupee Parish School Board has approved the surplus sales tax fund check for all salaried employees.

Checks will be issued on Friday, October 16.

This continues a commitment that began in 2021. The board has approved surplus checks each year since then, making this the sixth surplus check issued to eligible salaried employees. The first surplus check was issued on October 15, 2021.

"We appreciate the dedication, professionalism and daily contributions of our Pointe Coupee Parish School Board employees," the board said in a prepared statement on social media on Friday.
